Therapy for Teens

“Sometimes it’s hard to put everything into words, and you don’t have to. This can be a space to figure things out in your own way, at your own pace.”

Adolescence is a season of rapid change. Emotionally, socially, and neurologically, everything is shifting at once. For many teens, anxiety, academic pressure, shifting friendships, family tension, identity exploration, and perfectionism can feel overwhelming and difficult to articulate.

I work with teens who feel the weight of expectations, whether external or internal. Many are bright, capable, and conscientious, yet struggle privately with anxiety, self-doubt, mood changes, or the pressure to excel.

Therapy for teens is grounded, collaborative, and developmentally attuned. For teens who struggle to put complex feelings into words, I integrate traditional talk therapy with expressive and experiential approaches. Together, we build emotional insight, regulation skills, confidence, and a stronger, more secure sense of self.
