About Me
I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Sheena Diaz, and I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, currently working toward my Registered Play Therapy (RPT) credential. My experience includes working in schools, community mental health, and outreach. I am dedicated to helping adolescents and emerging adults (ages 10 and above), women, and parents navigate life’s challenges, build emotional resilience, and discover their strengths through compassionate care and individualized support. I believe that true healing happens when we engage the whole self, mind, body, and soul. I emphasize the healing power of creative expression to guide clients in living their most fulfilling lives. My passion for exploration, desire for adventure, and zest for life have led me to this work, and my goal is to help you facilitate the change you need to become the best version of yourself.
I am integrative and eclectic in my approach, and believe that no two journeys are alike. Along with talk therapy, I incorporate various creative modalities such as art, music, movement, drama, painting, writing, and storytelling to facilitate self-discovery, emotional expression, and lasting growth in my clients. I work with each client to co-create a plan that supports their unique needs. My specialties include anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, non-suicidal self-injury, self-esteem, life transitions, identity exploration, and women’s issues. As a certified educator in gifted and special education, I also specialize in school-related challenges.
If you or your family are struggling, it would be my pleasure to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges and embrace new possibilities. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together, one step at a time.
